Coalizione Italiana Libertà e Diritti civili Onlus (hereinafter, also: “C.I.L.D. Onlus”) is aware of the importance of safeguarding the privacy and rights of individuals; it has decided to strongly commit itself to the compliance with rules of conduct – in line with Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (Data Protection Code) as amended by Legislative Decree no. 101/2018 and EU Regulation no. 679/2016 – that guarantee a safe, controlled and confidential navigation on internet.
The above-mentioned privacy policy may change over time, also as a result of amendments and of legislative and regulatory changes on the subject, or as a result of C.I.L.D. Onlus institutional decisions; we therefore suggest you to periodically check this section of our website.
We also suggest you to read the rules that our association has set for the regulation of the collection and the processing personal data and in providing always a satisfactory service to the users of its website.
Basic principles of the privacy policy of C.I.L.D. Onlus
- to process data exclusively for the purposes and according to the methods illustrated in the information notice that is presented from time to time to the user accessing a section of the website, in which the direct or indirect provision of personal data is required;
- to use data that have been spontaneously released by the user;
- to use analytical cookies for statistical purposes and anonymously, in order to evaluate the use of our website and use technical cookies (session cookies and functionality cookies) to facilitate the navigation within the site;
- to use profiling cookies only if the user has consented to such use;
- to transmit data to third parties (processors) exclusively for instrumental purposes to what is expressly requested and which we carefully select;
- to disclose data to third parties only for required activities or when required by law, regulations or EU legislation;
- to respond to requests for cancellation, modification, integration of the data provided, for objection to the processing of data for legitimate reasons, for objection to the processing of data for informative communications about our projects and requests for financial contributions supporting our institutional activities;
- to ensure the correct and lawful processing of your data, safeguarding your privacy, and to apply appropriate security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data.

Data Controller
C.I.L.D. Onlus Italia Onlus – with registered office in Via Monti di Pietralata 16, 00157 Roma (RM) – is the data controller, as it decides in what way and for what reasons, that are communicated in the specific information, it collects and uses personal data provided by the user, as well as with what tools it will process them and what security procedures will activate in order to ensure their integrity, confidentiality and availability.
Purpose of data processing
As better explained in the sections of the website that allow users to access – by the release of personal data – to services devoted to the users of our website, requested data are used to respond to requests expressly made by users. More specifically, data collection and subsequent processing of the collected data pursue the institutional purposes of C.I.L.D. Onlus and, in particular, for:
- periodical and one-off donations, that are made through various means (through credit card or other); subscription to our newsletter;
- requests for information or for legal advice
as well as to receive tailor-made information on our projects and on our activities which are dedicated to our supporters, fundraisers and to all those who have implemented initiatives sharing the mission of C.I.L.D. Onlus, as expressly indicated on the data collection webpage.
Processing of personal data
Pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) of the Regulation, after having assessed the quantity and quality of the data processed and the practical and organizational context in which the processing is carried out, the Data Controller adopts the most appropriate security measures aimed at preventing any unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of Personal Data.
All data processing carried out within this site will be carried out on paper and through electronic or online means, through processes which are connected to the purposes for which the data were collected and in compliance with current safety regulations, for the purposes specified from time to time in the information notice provided to the user.
Legal Basis for Processing
The Processing is carried out for:
> the legitimate interest of the Data Controller, in the pursuit of its corporate objectives pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) of EU Regulation 679/2016;
> the fulfillment of legal obligations of the Data Controller pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, letter c) of EU Regulation 679/2016;
> promotion, marketing and communication purposes, only if the Data Subjects have given explicit consent pursuant to article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of EU Regulation 679/2016;
Recipients of the Treatment
Data collected through the site are digitally stored by the hosting provider, through which the website is accessible.
For the purposes related to the provision of the service to which the user has subscribed, data may be made available to third parties, who will act as independent data controllers, and who provide services that are instrumental in meeting users’ requests (for example, banks or entities issuing credit cards, in order to manage payments for donations), or to whom the communication of data is necessary to comply with laws or regulations. Data will not be communicated for any other purpose, let alone disseminated.
For the managing of its newsletter, C.I.L.D. Onlus transfers some data (email addresses of subscribers) to the United States. Said transfer is made in accordance with specific decisions of the European Union and the Authority for the protection of personal data (decision 1250/2016 “Privacy Shield”– here is the link to the information page of the Italian Authority).
Data collected through the anonymous statistical analysis of the use of the website, provided by Google Inc., are transferred to the United States of America under the international convention named “Privacy Shield”. Google Inc. is “Responsible” for the related processing in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned article 28.
C.I.L.D. Onlus does not transfer any other data outside the European Union.
Personal data will be made available to persons expressly authorized by C.I.L.D. Onlus which perform processing activities which are essential for the pursuit of the above-mentioned purposes.
Those persons are, in general, responsible for the provision of specific services, administration, management of information services, for keeping relations with actual and potential donors, with the organizers of information campaigns on our projects and of the so-called “social advertising”, supporting our initiatives in favor of children and adolescents.
Your personal data may be processed, either manually, electronically or telematically, also by third parties having the proper experience, technical skills, professionalism and reliability, who carry out processing operations on behalf of our association; the aforementioned processing operations will be carried out with due respect to the security and confidentiality of information and we will constantly monitor the work of the mentioned third parties, in accordance with the provisions of article 28 of EU Regulation 679/2016.
Exercise of users’ rights articles 15-22 of EU Regulation n. 679/2016

In particular, the Data subjects-physical persons have the right:
- to revoke at any time the express consent. The Data Subject may revoke his/her consent to the processing of his/her Personal Data previously expressed.
- to object the processing of their Personal Data. The Data Subject may object to the processing of his/her Personal Data when it is carried out on a legal basis other than consent.
- to access their Data. The Data subject has the right to obtain information on the Data processed by the Data Controller, on certain aspects of the processing and to receive a copy of the Data processed.
- to verify and to request rectification. The Data Subject may verify the correctness of his or her Data and request an update or correction.
- to obtain the restriction of the processing. The Data Subject may request the restriction of the processing of his/her Data. In this case, the Data Controller will not process the Data for any other purpose than their preservation.
- to obtain the cancellation or removal of their Personal Data. The Data Subject may request the deletion of his/her Data from the Data Controller’s databases.
- to get their Data back or have them transferred to another data controller. The Data Subject has the right to receive his/her Data in a structured format, of common use and readable by an automatic device and, where technically feasible, to obtain their transfer to another data controller without hindrance.
- to lodge a complaint. The Data Subject may lodge a complaint before the competent data protection supervisory authority or take legal action.
Exercise of the rights by the data subject
Data Subjects may address a request to the Controller’s contact details indicated in this document. Requests shall not be charged of any costs for the Data Subjects and shall be processed by the Controller as soon as possible, in any event no later than 30 days after receipt.
Cookies and how C.I.L.D. Onlus uses them
Cookies are information that are stored on the hard disk of your electronic device which your browser sends to a web server; they relate to your use of internet. As a result, they allow to know the services, the websites that have been visited and the options that have been selected by surfing on the web.
Said information is therefore not provided spontaneously and directly, but it leaves a trace. Data collected through cookies will be used for technical purposes, in order to ensure an easier, immediate and rapid access to the site and to its services and in order to ensure an easier navigation for individual users.
The use of so-called session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user’s computer and are automatically deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (which are random numbers generated by the server) that are necessary to enable safe and efficient exploration of the site. The so-called session cookies that are used in this website avoid the use of other instruments that are potentially detrimental to the confidentiality of user navigation and they do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user. Navigation data
During their normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures that are used to operate this website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the communication protocols of the Internet. Said information is not collected in order to be associated with identified users, but by its very nature it could allow the identification of users through processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users which visit our website, addresses under URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained during the research, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error or similar) and other parameters of the operating system and the computer environment. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes affecting the website. Security of your personal data
C.I.L.D. Onlus adopts suitable and preventive security measures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, completeness and availability of your personal data. As established by the regulations governing the security of personal data, C.I.L.D. Onlus set up technical, logistical and organizational measures aiming at preventing damage, loss (even accidental), alteration, improper and unauthorized use of data concerning you. Similar security measures are taken by third parties (data processors) to whom C.I.L.D. Onlus entrusted the processing of your personal data on its behalf.
On the other hand, C.I.L.D. Onlus does not consider itself responsible for untruthful information sent directly by the user (for example: correctness of the e-mail address or postal address or other personal data), as well as for any information concerning him that has been provided by a third party, even fraudulently.
Credit card and financial information
When donations are made by credit card, C.I.L.D. Onlus guarantees maximum confidentiality and security. The financial information of the credit card (number, expiry date, personal details of the cardholder) shall only be disclosed to the bank. The retention of the related information will be limited to the time necessary to ensure the verification of the effectiveness of the transaction. On the other hand, C.I.L.D. Onlus does not have any responsibility whatsoever with reference to unauthorized or fraudulent use of your credit card by third parties.
Duration of the processing
All data processed will be kept within the terms and the limits set out in the applicable regulations (mainly administrative, civil and fiscal regulations).
For the purposes of the newsletters, data will be stored until the user unsubscribes / revokes his/her consent or exercises his/her right to object as person concerned by the processing. Data will otherwise be retained as long as CILD continues to implement its activities through projects, initiatives and actions.
For all other purposes, users’ data is stored for a maximum of 90 days.
