In the face of an ongoing “crisis”, an “emergency” and a structural phenomenon, the responses are still inadequate despite time and money having been invested; from the burning issue of Libya (between the explosive conditions in the country and the failure of Italy’s dangerous strategy) to the discomforting situation in Italy (where a general election is about to affect policies and refugees die because of flaws in the system). As Italy sees its final chance to reform citizenship laws, the US are cracking down hard on refugees and migrants. Finally, we cannot be silent on the ignored genocide of the Rohingya.
